Like many of you, I’ve been a writer since the day I was born…or at least from the day I could grip a Bic pen. But it took me years beyond that to become an author.

Some would say the thing that made me an “author” was publication.

But I’ve come to believe **the most important** difference between being a writer and being an author is learning to take your craft seriously.

This is why, a little while back, I started sharing some of what I’ve learned about the publishing process on my website. The number of emails I received in response reminded me how many people want to get serious about writing, but  just don’t know how to start.

In response, I started putting together some additional blog series and resources for writers, including quite a few on How To Start A Book. In hardly any time at all, over 100 people signed up and hits on the blog posts in the writing category started to crowd out traffic for my other, more personal blog posts.

After a lot of meaningful interactions with writers, I finally caved and decided to let the writing traffic grow but to move it to a spin off site for writers. I call it A Life Worth Writing Down.

If you’re a writer, I’d love to see you there. :)
