I Think That Is What I Have to Give Too

Queen Elizabeth II once gave a famous speech, in which she said to her people, “I cannot lead you into battle. I do not give you laws to administer justice but I can do something else – I can give my heart and my devotion to these old islands and to all the people of our brotherhoods of nations.”

I think, in saying that, she was exercising one of the most important kinds of leadership there is.

Our world needs to be lead in loving well.

People will follow someone who loves them. My family always says, “buy someone lunch and they’ll love you for life.” Loving and investing in others is the key to influence. …the last will be first…

@Jonathan YES. I might have to quote you in my new book. I. HEAR. YOU.

Now we just have to convince the rest of the world. :)

So much of leadership is serving. Serving through work. Serving through grace. When we serve someone we value them, even if we don’t always agree with them. The strongest leaders know when to step back.

    my two cents…

Amen. What is that saying? “People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.” You could adapt it — sort of. “People will not follow until the know how much you love.”

@Rob Yeah, there’s some burden in carrying it out for sure. But I’d rather struggle erring on the side of love than struggle erring on withholding it.
