I couldn’t help feeling a swell of goodness as I walked past the building above on the way to a meeting with friends in Chicago this past week.

It’s the historic Moody church that grew out of the life work of D.L. Moody.

And though I’ve always admired the organization’s legacy, this year, I have the pleasure of playing liaison to a Moody Publishing project that is STORY-inspired.

For this undertaking–a non-fiction book which will be released at STORY 2012, we’ve brought together eight talented writers, an artist and two editors from the STORY community to piece together a book that will be helpful to creatives and dreamers trying to find inspiration, direction and balance in a sometimes broken world.

If you’re at STORY12, you’ll see why I’m so taken with not only the book, but how it captures the way STORY’s inspiration leaks onto the community and friendships it’s embedded in.
