Dream Year: What If Your Dream Could Become a Reality in 1 Year??

dream year, dreamyear, dream year benarment, year of dreams, meanings of dreams

Hey dreamers-that-I-love,

You know that idea that’s been rolling around in your head WAY too long? That vision you haven’t been able to shake? That cause that keeps coming back to you? That project that keeps you awake at night?

As you know, I believe in plucking that thing out of your head and getting it out into the real world where other people can see it and be impacted by it. **Stop hogging your dream, people. =)**

But rarely do I get to say what I am about to. I KNOW A WAY YOU CAN FINALLY MOVE ON THAT DREAM. A way you can get around feeling alone in the process, afraid of failing, overwhelmed by all the details.

It’s called DREAMYEAR.

Here’s how it works:

  • Ben Arment, the founder of STORY, leads 24 people through a process to achieve one dream in one year.  No dream is too big, and no idea is too far-fetched.
  • The participants include everyone from filmmakers and church planters to entrepreneurs and authors.
  • Participants get all kinds of exclusive goods – personalized project planning, weekly lessons, accountability and goal settings, one-on-one consultations.

In other words, this is the process “college” doesn’t walk you through.

So there’s a buzz going on for some of you right now as you think about your dream being launched within the space of one year. Am I right? If THAT MUCH catches something in your spirit, then you are going to be magnetized by reading the actual calendar and personal stories section on the DREAMYEAR site.

But wait, before you jet out of here to the DREAMYEAR site, here is what I want you to know most of all: **THIS IS NOT AN INFOMERCIAL**  Ben, the guy behind DREAMYEAR, is a friend and I want to see him continue to expand what he is doing. But, this post is not for him. It’s for you. Going after my own dreams, taking the plunge on those nagging ideas, has resulted in some of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences of my life.

And that is something, apart from DREAMYEAR and apart from Ben, I want you to taste firsthand.

In other words, this is not a sponsored post. In the real world where many of you know me face to face, I vouch for this guy and this process. So much so that if you want to talk to me more about whether it’s for you, I welcome you to pick up the phone or drop me an email (sarahraymondcunningham (at) gmail (dot) com), my friends.

Cheers to your dreams!!

That sounds amazing! My best friend, Jana and I have a dream (well several in fact) and we are actually starting to work on implementing one right now called $O$- Share Our Savings. It is a group that will meet once a month (our first meeting is on Sept 18th) and we will show others how we have been getting things free or almost free for our families. The awesome thing is that we have been able to SHARE our “extra” (what we call stockpile) with others in need. A friend of ours (a person who works in a school district) does not get another paycheck until Sept 20th and she mentioned something to us about needing to take out a payday loan to buy food because her son told her he was hungry! Well, Jana and I both went to our “store” and gathered some items she needed and it cost us nothing. Then I was already going to get my prescriptions filled and was getting a $50 gift card for transferring them. I turned around and used the card to buy her other basics as well. Our workshop will help others be able to do the same thing and get more for their money for their families and be able to help others too! We also learned that the Ronald McDonald House at the local Children’s Hospital is low on food that they keep there for the families of patients, so we will be helping to stock their kitchen as well. We would love to be able to expand this program to many others, not just our immediate community.

…Can you tell I am excited?

Dawn. Very cool. I think you’ve probably picked up my heart for society’s marginalized, by now. But love two things about your post. 1. That you’ve already started doing something yourself. 2. That you have the vision to expand this to benefit more people.

I believe it would be well worth your investment to apply and see where this next stage of life takes you. Thanks for sharing!!
