What Your Space Says About You

You can tell what is important to us by what we make space for in our lives.

Who knew? A messy fridge of pics and child artwork could be the sign of a well-ordered life. :)

Who knew? A messy fridge of pics and child artwork could be the sign of a well-ordered life. :)

For example, if an outside observer was to study…

  • our receipts–for everything we’ve spent money on the past six months, what would they think was most important to us?
  • our daily schedule–what we spend our time doing, what would they think was most important to us?

Workspace can be a routine reminder to pray for and express care toward those we love.

  • our houses and offices–the things that are prominently displayed, what would they think was most important to us?

  • our friendships–the intentionality, care, respect and grace we show, what values would they think were most important to us?

Our mouths say we believe in a lot of things.

But what do our lives say we value?

Definitely agree the way we spend our time and money reflects what is important to us. Unfortunately lots of people spend way too much time on exteriors – work space, home space, their own personal look without spending time on making the interior match their image. And I am continually convicted about this in my own life.
