Some Odds & Ends for Writers

I want to write, for the writer, writer in the making, i love to write, i love writing

  • I’ve been running a series on self-publishing and e-publishing for average people. But I keep meeting awesome, above-average people giving it a go.
  • Take my new friend, Geoff Little, for instance. Brilliant. Counting the hours until his book of short stories arrives on my doorstep.
  • (Also, stay tuned to that series because some heavy weights are about to join the e-pub conversation.)
  • Another friend, Renee, went the traditional route to release her new title, Not Another Dating Book. And, of course, as irony or a divine sense of humor would have it, she met a guy, got engaged and married as she was writing it.
  • I think I’m going to write a book called, Not Another Million Dollars…just in case.
  • She’s not the only one finding love in the writing arena. Jennifer Taylor’s pastor-husband-to-be met her on See Jen Write. Congrats to the both of them.
  • In other writing news, my friend Jen Rose is looking for people to guest post on her blog. If you’re interested in getting in front of a new audience, hit her up.
  • Also for the writer in you, there are some interesting news and culture blurbs offered in this series I run each week. When you find out the Godfather was inspired by a woman, you’ll keep coming back. ;)
  • And don’t forget our now couple-month old community that supports writers who aspire to write a book. Just click to this link, add your name and website and you can not only access FREE downloadable guides, but you’ll be included in our email exchanges, video shares and will eventually be highlighted on my blog and others.
  • Yes, it really is free.
  • I believe when we help others advance, especially in bringing what God is stirring in them to expression, we advance ourselves too. A win for you as a writer is a win for me.
  • On that note, I appreciate your prayers for a book proposal going to pub board today. I’m apparently a glutton for writing projects lately. :)
  • And don’t forget, if you have any questions about writing, you can always email me free at sarahraymondcunningham (at) gmail (dot) com. Getting more and more each week! Keep ’em coming.
  • Finally, writers and non-writers alike: please think about helping my friend Brooklyn and her coming effort to raise money for the Ohio school shooting victims. Our hearts (and blogs and pencils) are with them.
