Write For Travel: Use Your Next Family Vacation as Inspiration

You’ve probably heard of Travel Magazine. But did you know there are more than 50 travel magazines who have to find fresh travel-related content for their magazines and websites?

Most of us recognize that someone somewhere must be writing all those articles about the Top Ten Resorts or Affordable Things to Do Near Disney, but we may not realize how broad the travel writing industry is. In addition to magazines devoted specifically to travel, regular newspapers and trade magazines for general readers (think women’s mags) also tend to highlight interesting destinations and trips for their subscribers. Book publishers take travel writing one step farther by putting together guidebooks for tourists who will visit a specific city or country. There’s also an entire genre of short stories and books that is loosely called “armchair travel”. These fictional pieces invite the reader to follow a character as they live or travel in a unique foreign destination.

And don’t forget the more practical side of travel writing. Someone like the Content Writer Expedia is advertising for makes sure the mammoth amount of content on travel websites is kept fresh. For some that might be tedious. But if you love to travel, you could be that very happy someone.
