A “Liked” Picture Is Worth 1,000 Words

Friends.

Even ten years ago, when we described them, we referenced things we did together in real-time.

That walk we went on, that party we attended, that conversation we had over coffee.

Friendships were formed by series of things that actually happened. Time together built on time together.

Social networks have added a new dimension to that.

They spur similar feelings–feelings of warmth, of acceptance, of agreement, of popularity.

Of being “liked” a million times by 1, 942 “friends”.

But while a picture (or an album of them) may be worth 1,000 words,

In those times when it really matters,

One face to face word can be worth more than 1,000 liked pictures.

Agree? Disagree? Relate? Leave a comment.
